With the rapid growth of basic chemical raw materials(chemicals)dominated by ethylene and propylene,the short-process and low-cost crude oil direct olefin technology has become a research hotspot.Exxonmobil has become the leader in this field,and has carried out global patent layout.The development trend,latest breakthrough and technical layout of olefin technology from crude oil were analyzed from the perspectives of the annual trend of application and authorization of Exxonmobil’s patents and patent families,regional layout of patent technology,legal effect of patent technology,and technical composition of patent classification system.The above analysis provides information support for patent layout and structure optimization in the field of olefin technology from crude oil in China.
