His Love for the Plateau and His Devotion in the Field Work-An Interview with Professor Zhang Jianlin,an Archaeologist Expert

张建林,陕西省考古研究院研究员,曾任陕西省考古研究院副院长,现为西北大学文化遗产学院特聘教授、浙江大学人文高等研究院访问学者。主要研究方向为隋唐考古、西藏考古等方向。对唐代帝陵的考古调查与研究有较为突出的贡献,特别是在西藏文物考古领域,1984年首次进藏至今三十八年的时光里年年奔波在青藏高原四处,对西藏古代历史的诸多问题研究取得了丰硕的成果。曾先后在《考古与文物》《考古学报》《藏学学刊》《文物》等国内知名期刊上发表论文近百篇。出版有《古格故城》《慈善寺与麟溪桥》《中国藏传佛教雕塑全集·擦擦》《西藏东部吐蕃佛教造像——芒康、察雅考古调查与研究报告》《秘境之国——寻找消失的古格文明》等书。文章围绕张建林研究员长达三十八年的西藏文物考古工作对其进行专访。

Zhang Jianlin is a researcher of Shaanxi Academy of Archaeology,andhe once served as the vice presi⁃dent of the Academy.He is also a distinguished visiting professor of Northwestern University's School of Cultural Heritage and a visiting scholar of Zhejiang University Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences.His main research interests are the archaeology of the Sui and Tang Dynasties and that of Tibet.Profes⁃sor Zhang Jianlin has made outstanding contributions to the archaeological investigation and research of the im⁃perial tombs of the Tang Dynasty,especially in the archaeology of Tibetan cultural heritage.Since he first came to Tibet in 1984,in the past thirty-eight years he has been to every corners of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and made fruitful achievements in the research of many issues of ancient Tibetan history.He has published nearly one hundred papers in some well-known journals in China,"Archaeology and Cultural Relics","Acta Archaelogi⁃ca Sinica","Journal of Tibetology","Wenwu Cultural Relics",for instance.He has also written and published some books like"Guge,an Ancient City""Cishan Monastery and Linxi Bridge""TheCollection of China's Tibetan Buddhist Sculptures-the Volume of Tsha-tsha""Tibetan Buddhist Statues in Eastern Tibet-A Report on the Ar⁃chaeological Investigationand Research of Markham(smar-khams)and Tragyab(brag-gyab)""A Mysterious Kingdom-the Disappeared Guge's Civilization"and so on.This article contains the content of an exclusive in⁃terview of Professor Zhang Jianlin,focusing on his thirty-eight-year archaeological work on Tibetan cultural heri⁃tage.
