As the leading force of Marxism in the West, Gy9rgy Lukács(1885—1971) is one of the most well-known and influential thinkers of the 20th century. When China is undergoing modernization and transformation, Lukács’ ideas have profoundly participated in the process of reshaping the theoretical and academic forms of contemporary Chinese Marxism and have continued to exert great academic effectiveness. Throughout the nearly ninety years of Lukács research in China, Chinese Professor Sun Bokui(1930—2003) fully reveals the grand thoughts of Lukács in his book Lukács and Marx by combining the true meaning of Marxist theory.
