An Alternative Method for Measuring Coal Density Based on AS1289.3.5.1

《国际海运固体散装货物规则》修正案中增加了适用于煤炭的方法,即改进的葡式樊式法,方法中测定密度时要求煤样在水中浸泡24 h。为了缩短检验时限,且不影响最终检验结果,研究了可替代方法的可行性,并通过试验进行验证,最终得出两种方法测定的密度结果没有显著性差异,证明改进后的方法能够代替原方法。

The amendment to “the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargo Code” adds a method applicable to coal, that is, the improved Portuguese fan Method, in which the coal sample is required to soak in water for 24 hours when determining density. In order to shorten the inspection time limit, and does not affect the final test results, the feasibility of the alternative method is studied, and verified by experiments, it is concluded that there is no significant difference in the density results between the two methods. It is proved that the improved method can replace the original method.
