On Cognition and Narration——A Study of Janet Winterson’s Storytelling Paradigm

珍妮特·温特森是英国极具影响力的作家。温特森的文学作品具有极具个人特色的故事化叙事风格,并且其善于利用细腻的笔触来对故事的意境进行渲染和衬托。温特森文学作品中的一项要素即故事,通过对温特森的各类故事文学作品进行整合和分析,探究温特森文学作品在故事化叙事方面的策略,并对其故事背后的主题进行深入挖掘,突出作者对于自由性别观念以及爱之永恒观念的执着追求,将温特森文学作品中的力量充分展现出来。

Janet Winterson is a very influential writer in Britain. Winterson’s literary works have a very personal narrative style, and he is good at using delicate strokes to render and foil the artistic conception of the story, and storytelling is an important element in his literary works. To this end, this paper integrates and analyzes Winterson’s various story literary works, explores the strategies of storytelling, and deeply excavates the theme behind the story. It’s found that story paradigm can highlight the author’s persistent pursuit of the concept of free gender and the eternal concept of love, and fully demonstrate the power in Winterson’s literary works.
