语料库语言学视角下的隐喻意义研究——以“eat”为例

A Corpus-based Study on Metaphorical Meaning: Taking “Eat-metaphor” as a Case

文章主要研究在语料库语言学视角下系统考察“eat”隐喻意义在实际语言使用中的实现模式。把对隐喻意义的解读置于语言表达的语法特征、搭配关系以及语义映射分析中,以此来实现对“eat”隐喻意义以及实现机制的客观阐释。研究发现“eat”的隐喻意义与表达形式之间呈现出纵横交错的互动关系。在“意义-形式”构式中,每个隐喻意义都有各自的典型表达式,每个表达式又同时借助不同的语法手段和词语搭配来表达不一样的意义内涵。研究表明只有以现实语境为基础,把隐喻意义和语言形式整合在一起,才能实现对隐喻意义更加准确、全面的解读。

This paper mainly studies the realization mode of metaphorical meaning of“eat”in actual language use from the perspective of corpus linguistics. The interpretation of metaphorical meaning is put into the analysis of grammatical features, collocation relations and semantic mapping of language expression, so as to realize the objective interpretation of metaphorical meaning and realization mechanism of“eat”. The study found that the metaphorical meaning and expression form of“eat”showed a crisscross interaction. In the“meaning form”construction, each metaphorical meaning has its own typical expression,and each expression also uses different grammatical means and word collocation to express different meanings. The research shows that only by integrating metaphorical meaning and linguistic form on the basis of realistic context can we achieve a more accurate and comprehensive interpretation of metaphorical meaning.
