有清一代,随着满语文在达斡尔地区的推广,达斡尔族民间出现了借用满文字母拼写达斡尔语的现象,达斡尔族人创制出的“达呼尔文”在本民族社会广泛使用。敖拉·昌兴及其继承者的文学创作实践促进了“达呼尔文”的使用与推广。从上世纪90年代开始,达斡尔族知名学者恩和巴图等对“达呼尔文”进行积极的改进与规范,达斡尔族的一些学术机构也为“达呼尔文”的传承与发展进行了多方面的努力。
