Statistical Mechanism of Urbanization Rate in Metropolitan Areas Under the New Development Pattern

近几十年来我国城镇化快速推进,2021年城镇常住人口增长到9.14亿人,城镇化率达到64.7%。在当前新型城镇化的新特征与趋势下,我国城镇化的动力机制发生结构性变化,都市圈逐步成为新型城镇化的主要形态之一。基于新阶段城镇化内涵及意义理解,梳理明晰全球及国内城镇化发展现状及趋势特点,结合国内外已有都市圈统计机制经验,本文提出了符合我国国情的都市圈城镇化率统计机制构建思路,并以上海大都市圈为例,分析研究当前上海大都市圈城镇化率现状及发展趋势,提出都市圈城镇化率统计机制构建实施的建议。

Urbanization in China has progressed rapidly in recent decades, with the number of permanent resident population rising to 914 million in 2021, with an urbanization rate of 64.7 percent. Under new characteristics and trends of new urbanization, the dynamic mechanism of urbanization in China has undergone structural changes, and metropolitan areas have gradually become one of the main forms. Based on the connotation and meaning of new urbanization, the paper sorts out the status quo and trend characteristics of global and domestic urbanization development, combines with the existing experience of domestic and foreign metropolitan area statistical mechanism, and puts forward the idea of constructing the statistical mechanism of metropolitan area urbanization rate in China. This paper analyzes the current situation and development trend of the urbanization rate of the Shanghai metropolitan region, and puts forward some suggestions on the construction and implementation of the statistical mechanism of the urbanization rate in metropolitan areas.
