Text translation is dependent on discourse analysis.For translators,cohesion and coherence as the core of discourse analysis,are regarded as a guide to understand the source text and reconstruct the target text in translating.Thus it is necessary for translators to know the properties of cohesion and coherence and their relationship,and then to achieve the successful text translation based on acknowledgement of their importance and the ways of their transformation in texts.
