摘要
《伊索寓言》是古希腊时期流传下来的寓言故事,具有一定的哲理意义。林纾的《伊索寓言》译本在当时掀起了一波“寓言热”,林纾将自己的爱国情感寄托于自己的翻译作品中,欲通过翻译这本意义深刻的寓言,以警醒当时的国民。文章从目的论的视角出发,以林纾的《伊索寓言》译本为例,旨在探讨林纾在翻译过程中所运用的翻译策略,从而剖析出林纾翻译作品的用意。
Aesop’s Fables is a fable passed down from the ancient Greek period,which has a certain philosophical significance.The translation of Aesop’s Fables by Lin Shu caused a wave of“fable fever”at that time.Lin Shu put his patriotic feeling of saving the country and the nation in his translation work.He wanted to alert the people by translating this profound fable.Based on Skopos Theory,this article takes the translation of Aesop’s Fables by Lin Shu as an example to explore the translation strategies used by Lin Shu and to dissect Lin Shu’s intention of his translation work.
