Let Adrift between Heaven and Earth:On the Taoist Thought and Spirit in Jin Yong’s Fiction

金庸小说中包含了丰富的道家思想和精神的元素。首先,金庸小说中提到的武功绝学有很多是以道家的经典典籍为源泉,其中武功招式的名称与蕴存在其中的精华都源自于道学经典。其次,金庸小说中的人物设计也出自道家思想,比如一些人物姓名出自道家典籍,部分人物关系符合道家阴阳对立的观点,甚至于一些小说的整体架构,都暗合着道家经典精神。部分人物的思想和行为都符合道家所提倡的清静无为、追求精神自由的思想。第三,金庸小说中通过人与动物的和谐共处的状态,体现了庄子所提出的天人合一的思想。另外,金庸小说中不仅包含道家思想,也包含儒家、佛家思想,金庸将它们完美的融合在一起,更显示出其作品的思想的深邃和复杂。

Jin Yong’s fiction contains rich elements of Taoist thought and spirit.First,many of the martial arts in his fiction are sourced from the Taoist classics,of which the names and contents of the martial arts moves originate in Taoist classics,too.Second,the design of his fictional characters also stems from Taoist thought.For example,the names of a number of characters come from the Taoist classics and part of the characters’relationship complies with the oppositional view of yin-yang in Taoism.Even the whole structure of some of his novels also implies a classic Taoist spirit as the thought and act of some characters conform with the Taoist idea of doing nothingnism and the thought in pursuit of spiritual freedom.Third,Jin Yong’s fiction,through the harmonious and co-existential state of people and animals,reflects the thought of heaven and man in one as proposed by Zhuangzi.In addition,Jin Yong’s fiction not only has Taoist thought but also contains the Confucian and Buddhist thought as he integrates them in a perfect manner,the more revealing the profundity and complexity of thought in his work.
