知识翻译学视阈下中国科技典籍术语英译策略探究——以王宏英译版《梦溪笔谈》为例

科技典籍是中国科技知识的重要载体,《梦溪笔谈》是中国科技典籍的重要代表作,是中国古代科技成就记载的集大成者,内容丰富,术语涉及领域广泛。文章将从地方性知识世界化的角度,以王宏英译版《梦溪笔谈》为例,按照知识契合区、逸脱区、冲突区、阕无区的划分研究中国科技典籍术语的翻译策略,期待以真善美的知识传播视角助力构建全面、立体的新时代中国形象。

Science and technology classics are important carriers of scientific and technological knowledge in China,exemplified by the Brush Talks From Dream Brook,which is marked by abundant terms in multifarious fields,thus hailed as a kaleidoscope in scientific achievements of ancient China.This paper,from the perspective of the globalization of local knowledge,focuses on the English translation strategy of terminology in ancient Chinese classics science and technology with cases from the Brush Talks From Dream Brook translated by Wang Hong by talking about areas of knowledge identity,deviance,conflict and void respectively.With the principles of real meanings,full preparations and TT aesthetic conceptions,it is expected the global dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge of ancient Chinese classics will facilitate to build up Chinese image in the new era.
