The experiment was to systematically evaluate the nutritional value of cruciferous forage in plateau area. In the study, three kinds of cruciferous herbage(Brassica napus L., Brassica napus L. and Eruca sativa Mill.) commonly cultivated in plateau area were selected as the research objects. The results were evaluated by using the method of general nutrient analysis, in vitro gas production and combined with yield per unit area. The results showed that forage yield of Brassica napus L. was the highest. The Brassica napus L. had the highest energy, followed by Brassica napus L., but Brassica napus L. had the highest crude protein content. The crude protein(CP) and acid detergent fiber(ADF) yields of Brassica napus L. rapeseed were the highest, followed by Brassica napus L. The pH values and ammonia nitrogen(NH3-N) concentrations of the three cruciferous herbage were all within the normal range. The acetic acid content of forage Brassica napus L. was the highest(25.66 mmol/L), followed by Brassica napus L.(23.03 mmol/L), which was significantly higher than that of Eruca sativa Mill.(17.78 mmol/L)(P<0.05). The digestibility(IVDMD) of Brassica napus L.was significantly higher than that of Brassica napus L. and Eruca sativa Mill.(P<0.05). The study indicates that the comprehensive production performance of Brassica napus L. and Brassica napus L. was significantly better than that of Eruca sativa Mill.
