Innovation and Practice of English Education in the New Media Era

新媒体时代的到来,开阔了大学生的眼界,强化大学生对信息认知能力,也直接影响到大学生的行为方式和价值观。各种新兴微媒体渗透于学生日常学习与生活中,在深受高校学生追捧的同时改变着学生学习生活方式,为高校英语教育创新发展带了新机遇。在高校英语教育中有效应用新媒体可高涨学生的学习意愿、提高学生的学习积极性,但当前英语教学中存在教师知识储备与教学观念过于传统、缺乏实践教学活动等问题,为顺应新时代发展潮流,顺利开展教学改革工作,高校应更新教师知识储备与教学观念、积极开办媒介素质的实践教学活动、丰富英语教学内容、采用科学的方法和丰富多彩的教学手段,推动大学生媒介素养向更高水平进步。

The arrival of the new media era has broadened the horizon of college students, strengthened their cognitive ability of information, and also directly affects college students’ behavior and values. Various kinds of new micro media permeate students’ daily study and life, becoming popular with college students while changing students’ learning and life style, bringing new opportunities for the innovation and development of English education in universities. Effective application of English media in college education can increase students’ learning willingness, improve students’ learning enthusiasm, but the current English teaching teachers knowledge reserve and teaching concept is too traditional, lack of practical teaching activities, in order to follow the trend of the new era, teaching reform smoothly, universities should update teachers’ knowledge reserve and teaching concept, actively open media quality practice teaching activities, rich English teaching content, using scientific methods and colorful teaching methods, promote college students’ media literacy to a higher level.
