Analysis on Origins,Formation Causes and Features of the Yangzhou Twenty-four Scenes in the Qing Dynasty

清代乾隆年间,扬州园林达到鼎盛,最为显著的标志是扬州二十四景的出现。盐商经济高度发展、乾隆皇帝六次南巡以及地方文化的兴盛是扬州二十四景形成的主要原因。扬州二十四景有着其独特的融合性、市民性和公共性三大特性。

During Emperor Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty,Yangzhou gardens reached their prime when the Twenty-four Scenes of Yangzhou took shape.The occurrence of the Twenty-four Scenes was mainly caused by the highly developed salt merchant economy,six Southern Inspection Tours of Emperor Qianlong and the prosperous local culture.The Twenty-four Scenes of Yangzhou are featured by being integrative,civil and public.
