Vernacular Narration and Literary Ecology: On the Regional Cultural Value of Comments on Wuxing Poems

地域诗话的大量涌现反映出清代文学地域意识的自觉与强化。戴璐《吴兴诗话》采用以时为序、以人系诗的方式著录了清代湖州地区的代表性诗人,勾勒出当地诗歌的风土特征和传统。其成书对传续乡贤风雅、记录乡邦文献起到了重要作用,并与史传志乘、诗歌总集、笔记杂说等相辅相成,共同构成了清代湖州文学的完整图景。《吴兴诗话》地域意识鲜明,乡邦情节浓厚,蕴涵丰富的地域文化价值,既展示了清代湖州极富特色的地方乡土民俗,又呈现了繁荣多元的地方文学格局,有利于地方历史编纂的补证与完善,有助于激起人们对地方文学传统的关注与反思,也可以为清代地域诗话和浙江文学生态研究提供一些参考。

The emergence of a large number of regional poems reflects the strengthening regional consciousness of literature in the Qing Dynasty. The representative poets in Huzhou in the Qing Dynasty and their poems were recorded in time order by Dai Lu in Comments on Wuxing Poems which outlines the local poetic characteristics and traditions. This book has played an important role in inheriting the virtue and elegance of village and recording the countryside literature. This work together with history, biographies, anthology of poems, and miscellaneous notes constitutes the panorama of Huzhou literature in the Qing Dynasty. With a distinct regional awareness, a strong countryside touch and rich regional cultural values, it not only exhibits the distinctive local customs of Huzhou in the Qing Dynasty, but also presents a prosperous and diverse local literary pattern, being conducive to supplementing local history compilation and arousing people’s attention and reflection on local literary traditions, and providing reference for the research on regional poetry in the Qing Dynasty and Zhejiang literature ecology.
