“柳公权《论砚》”被当作砚史论述的重要依据,但查阅文献,柳公权并无《论砚》之作。所谓“柳公权《论砚》”,是文献转述中的以讹传讹,纯属子虚乌有。所谓柳公权是“四大名砚”说的首倡者,也属臆说。

Liu Gongquan’s On Inkstones is regarded as an important basis for the discussion of inkstone history,but according to literature,Liu Gongquan did not write the book called On Inkstones.The so-called"Liu Gongquan’s On Inkstones"is a false rumor in the literature circulation,and it is purely non-existent.The belief that Liu Gongquan is the initiator of the"Four Famous Inkstones"has no evidence.
