The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)clearly proposes to advance the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization.One of the distinctive features of Chinese modernization is the modernization path of peaceful development.In the course of the CPC leading the Chinese people in exploring the path of modernization,China has always adhered to peaceful development as a fundamental pursuit.It pursues its own development in firmly safeguarding world peace and development,and makes greater contributions to world peace and development through its own development.China’s unique cultural tradition and historical mission,Chinese context and development goals,as well as its profound understanding and grasping of the theme of the times and the general trends of world development,determine that Chinese modernization must choose to follow the path of peaceful development.To follow the Chinese modernization path of peaceful development,it is always necessary to ensure both development and security,and to stand on our own feet;to endeavor to maintain international fairness and justice,and to foster a new type of international relations;to pursue a mutually beneficial strategy of opening up,and to play an active part in the reform and development of the global governance system;to advocate the common values of all mankind,and to promote a human community with a shared future.
