Research on the Evolution of the Image Theme of Buddhist Biography in the Ancient Western Regions

佛传图像影响了早期佛陀造像,在题材的分化、组合与独立中,形成不同系统的佛教艺术体系,成为佛教设像行道的传统题材。佛传图像在古代西域的传播中不断融入本土文化因素,在克孜尔石窟、敦煌石窟中形成区别于犍陀罗地区佛传图像的中国化特征,成为研究早期佛教文化的重要依据。

Buddhist images have influenced the early Buddha statues. In the differentiation, combination,and independence of themes, they have formed different systems of Buddhist art systems and become the traditional theme of the Buddhist image. Buddhist images were continuously integrated into local cultural factors in the dissemination of ancient western regions, and formed Chinese characteristics different from Gandhara Buddhist images in Kizil grottoes and Dunhuang grottoes became an important basis for the study of early Buddhist culture.
