摘要
在民初的社会语境中,《新青年》显现出中国政治与文化建构的重要转向,乃至形成与之前历史的“断裂”文化构成,并由此开拓出新的文化政治空间。这一历史性的“文化转向”,建立在将中西架构等同于新旧架构的理路上,也成为了五四一代的基本思维模式。在此基础上,陈独秀表明对文学新的取径思路:以西方文学思潮性的“主义”来看待中国文学的发展,将中国文学纳入进化论的递进链条之中,要求文学具有与现实相通的真实感与介入感,要求文学对社会采取一种强烈的批判态度。这就奠定了日后五四“新文学”的范式转移与社会功能,赋予“文学”以极为鲜明的现代性质。
In the social context of the early years of the Republic of China, New Youth showed an important shift in China’s political and cultural construction, and even formed a "broken" cultural composition with previous history, and thus forcibly opened up a new cultural and political space. This historic "cultural turn" was based on the rationale of equating the Chinese and Western structures with the old and new structures, and formed the basic thinking mode of the May Fourth generation. On this basis, Chen Duxiu expressed a new approach to literature: viewing the development of Chinese literature from the perspective of Western literary trends "ism", incorporating Chinese literature into the progressive chain of evolution, requiring literature to have a sense of reality and intervention in connection with reality, and requiring literature to adopt a strong critical attitude towards society. This laid the foundation for the paradigm shift and social function of the "new literature" of May Fourth in the future, giving "literature" a very distinct modern character.
