The main contents include accepting the 1992 Consensus, but emphasizing the adherence to the “Each statement of one China”;advocating cross-Straits “cooperation” to “maintain the status quo” and defend “the Republic of China”;refraining from talking about “cross-Straits reunification” and opposing “Taiwan independence” or “One Country, Two Systems”. Recently, influenced by a variety of factors, his views on the mainland policy have deviated, mainly manifested as emphasizing the cross-Strait exchanges to “seek common ground and respect differences”;distorting the 1992 Consensus and showing signs of approaching the “Green Camp”;from the declaration of cross-Strait “cooperation” to the promotion of the “2D strategy”, there was a strong intention of “anti-communist” and “rejecting reunification by force”. Attempting to break through the “Meeting of Hu and Lian” and “Five-point vision” to expand Taiwan’s “international development space” and “rely on foreign forces to reject reunification”;He declared that he was “pro-American and friendly to Japan and the mainland” and attached far more importance to the relations between Taiwan and the United States than to those across the Taiwan Strait. These deviations hurt the relations between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party and cross-Strait relations. Chu must stop the “deviation” and “slide” behavior and lead the Kuomintang back onto the right track.
