In-depth understanding of the characteristics of contemporary capitalist culture must include the dimensions of philosophical worldview and methodology. Contemporary capitalist culture is characterized by nihilism, which is the inevitable result of transforming the worldview and methodology of the Enlightenment philosophy. This philosophical transformation is manifested in the comprehensive deconstruction of the ontology of Enlightenment rationality, the oneness of human essence, the subjectivity of history and the universality of historical goals, and the formation of the basic views of the world without ontology, human without essence, activity without subject, and history without direction, which have inherent logical relations. Contemporary capitalist culture dissolves both the traditional rationalist framework of logocentrism and the non-rationalist metaphysics of presence, consciously highlighting the deconstructive, anti-traditional and anti-rule characteristics, thus connoting the philosophical crisis of nihilism.
