Laoshan tea is known as "the most famous tea in the north of the Yang-tze River". Wanggezhuang Subdistrict of Laoshan District, as the mainproduction base of Laoshan tea, has a tea planting area of more than 10,000 mu and an annual dry tea output of nearly 1 ,000 tons, earning its nameas "the most famous hometown of tea in the north of the Yangtze River".
