Photographer Liu Fuhai’s Passion for the Yellow River

“源出昆仑衍大流,玉关九转一壶收”。如果说黄河像一条玉带,蜿蜒在中原大地上,那么壶口瀑布就如一颗镶嵌在九曲黄河之上的璀璨明珠。壶口地处晋陕大峡谷中段,两岸夹山,犹如万马奔腾的黄河水排山倒海似地涌来,在此被两岸苍山束缚在狭窄的石谷中,奔腾怒啸,山鸣谷应,形如巨壶沸腾,形成极为壮观的瀑布群,故名壶口瀑布。《禹贡》曰:“盖河漩涡,如一壶然”。几乎所有见过壶口瀑布的人无不被黄河奔腾怒啸的气势所震撼,刘福海也不例外。

The mighty Yellow River surges its way to the Jinshan Grand Canyon where it suddenly found its way through a narrow vallcy blockcd by mountaing on both aidca.Thc trcmcndous watcr oplashcs on the rodi;forming a manfcent waterfall of 20 meters high and 30 meters wide,as if the water is pouring down from a huge teapot,hence the name Hukou(literally means "mouth ofteapot").
