摘要
金融科技是金融与科技融合带来的技术革新,不仅改变了传统金融模式,还可能对绿色经济的发展产生不良影响。鉴于此,本文基于我国31个省市(不含港澳台地区)2011—2020年的面板数据,研究金融科技对区域环境绿色发展的影响及作用机制。第一,金融科技能够抑制区域环境污染,并且抑制作用在污染水平较高区域、中西部地区、科教资源较少地区及经济发展水平较低区域更显著。第二,金融科技能够通过科技创新水平这一中介变量,促进区域的绿色发展。因此,各区域要因地制宜地制定政策,深化金融业与科技的深度融合,推动节能减排;对于发展较为落后的地区,要加强对绿色金融发展的支持力度,最大化地实现金融科技对区域环境的提升作用。
Fintech is a technological innovation brought by the integration of finance and technology,which not only changes the traditional fi nancial model,but also may have a bad impact on the development of the green economy.Given this,this paper investigates the impact of fi ntech on regional environmental green development and its mechanism of action based on the panel data of 31 provinces and cities,excluding Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan in China from 2011 to 2020.First,fi ntech can suppress regional environmental pollution,and the suppression eff ect is more signifi cant in regions with higher pollution levels,central and western regions,regions with less scientifi c and educational resources,and regions with lower economic development levels.Second,fi ntech can promote regional green development through the mediating variable of science and technology innovation level.Therefore,each region should formulate policies according to local conditions,deepen the deep integration of the fi nancial industry and science and technology,and promote energy conservation and emission reduction.For regions that are more backward in development,they should strengthen the support for green fi nancial development to maximize the role of fi ntech in enhancing the regional environment.
