This article introduces a newly found Chu gold tablets with a‘du’inscription dating to the Warring States period. This paper suggests that the location of‘du’is equivalent to the‘chu’()place within the Chu state. In addition,滁this paper offers an extensive explanation for inscriptions on Chu gold tablets, suggesting that the‘li’on‘li chen’gold tablets refer to‘li’,which is located in Nanyang. The reading of the‘shaozhen’tablets is similar to the Chu coins with‘shenzhu’inscriptions, which refers to small gold tablets. The character on gold tablets may be equivalent to‘yun’.In addition, one piece of gold tablet with incomplete inscriptions was often transcribed as‘zhong’.Yet,this paper suggest that it should be‘yi’.
