The article classifies and summarizes Egyptian patterns and points out the symbolic meaning, and summarizes the characteristics of Egyptian patterns according to the shape, color and composition. Innovative design of Egyptian patterns from four aspects of pattern, knitting process, yarn material and combination with other processes is presented, and through innovative design examples, it clarifies the specific application of Egyptian patterns in knitted sweaters, thus broadens the fashion design of knitted sweaters new ideas. Egyptian patterns play an extremely important role in highlighting the decoration and artistry of knitted sweaters, which can effectively enhance the artistic charm and cultural connotation of knitted sweaters.
