砚作为中国传统手工艺品,与笔、墨、纸合称为“文房四宝”,是中国书法的必备用具。宋代文人有云:“四宝砚为首,笔墨兼纸,皆可随时索取,可终身与俱者,唯砚而已。”由于其性质坚固,传百世而不朽,砚台被历代文人作为珍玩藏品之选。一方优质的砚台,不仅材质坚润,易于贮墨,更是蕴含着制砚人的智慧与匠心。砚台制作技艺也因此而被列入国家级非物质文化遗产代表性项目名录。
