Significance of Prefaces and Postscripts of Han Feizi in the History of Han Feizi Studies

宋代以来,《韩非子》在流传过程中产生了为数众多的序跋,这些序跋对于深入认识《韩非子》有着重要的作用,在韩学史研究方面更具有特别的意义,因而是韩学文献整理与研究当中一个颇为关键的问题。以之为对象考察韩学史的发展演变,可以对很多重要问题作出新的认识。宋乾道本《韩非子序》和元代何犿的《校<韩子>序》,重新发现了韩非子的思想价值和精神价值;明代序跋从思想维度和文学视域两个方面,表现出对《韩非子》的特别关注;清代序跋直观反映了清人对宋本价值的认识,以及对《韩非子》做全面校勘的状况,而产生于清末的序跋,则流露出浓郁的经世情怀。就韩学发展的外在形态来说,文献、思想、文学、接受四个维度,在《韩非子》序跋中都已基本形成,传统韩学的转型与现代韩学的建构,就是依照这四个维度展开的。

Since the Song Dynasty,there are numerous prefaces and postscripts of Han Feizi in the process of spreading of this work. These postscripts and postscripts play an important role in the in-depth understanding of Han Feizi,and have special significance in the study of the history of Han Feizi studies,so it is a very key issue in the research of Han Feizi studies. With the prefaces and postscripts as the object to study,we can get a new understanding of many important issues for the development and evolution of the history of Han Feizi studies. The preface of Han Feizi originated in the Song Dynasty and Preface to the Revised Han Feizi written by He Fan in the Yuan Dynasty,discovered the ideological and spiritual values of Han Feizi;The prefaces and postscripts of the Ming Dynasty showed people’s concern for Han Feizi from the perspective of thought and literary vision. The prefaces and postscripts of the Qing Dynasty directly reflect the Qing people’s understanding of the value of the Song script,as well as the comprehensive emendation of Han Feizi,while the prefaces and postscripts of the late Qing Dynasty revealed their attitude of humanistic pragmatism. In terms of the external forms in the development of Han Feizi studies,the four aspects namely text,ideology,literature and acceptance have been basically revealed in the prefaces and postscripts of Han Feizi,and the transformation of traditional Han Feizi studies and the construction of modern Han Feizi studies are developed according to these four dimensions.
