Objective To investigate the effects of neuromuscular electrical stimulator combined with exercise training on muscle strength, dyspnea and quality of life in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Methods A total of 112 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to April 2022 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was treated with routine intervention, and the study group was treated with neuromuscular electrical stimulator combined with exercise training. MRC muscle strength score, lung function and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The MRC muscle strength score of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). The levels of FEV1, FVC and PEF in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). The quality of life score of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the study group and the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of neuromuscular electrostimulator combined with exercise training in clinical practice has a good clinical effect on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients, can effectively improve the quality of life of patients, worthy of promotion and application.
