Diversity and Distribution of Mammals in Hubei Province

根据2013—2021年湖北省第二次陆生野生动物资源调查和林业部门监测资料,参阅历史文献,按照《中国生物多样性红色名录:哺乳动物》的分类系统对湖北省哺乳动物种类进行重新厘定,分析其多样性、区系及分布。确认湖北省哺乳动物有9目29科86属132种,在1998年杨其仁等所记录的121种基础上,新增23种,减少12种,其中国家重点保护野生动物28种,中国特有种32种,列入中国哺乳动物红色名录近危等级以上51种。陆栖哺乳动物中东洋种87种、古北种35种、广布种8种。分布型以东洋型、南中国型物种占优势。按照全国陆生野生动物调查单元区划方案,湖北大巴山山地、武陵山山地、清江切割山地、武当山山地和大娄山中山峡谷物种最丰富,物种数91~105种;长江中游平原和三峡谷地分别有64、69种;大别山山地、南襄盆地、江汉平原和桐柏山山地有40~50种。

According to the second survey of terrestrial wildlife resources in Hubei Province from 2013 to 2021 and the monitoring data of the forestry department, and based on the classification system of China’s Red List of Biodiversity:Mammals, the species diversity, fauna and distribution of mammals in Hubei Province were redefined referring to the historical documents. It is confirmed that there are 132 species in 86 genera, 29 families, and nine orders in Hubei Province. Compared with 121 species recorded by Yang Qiren et al. in 1998, there are 23 new species added and 12 species removed.There are 28 species under state key protection and 32 endemic species in China,and 51 species are listed above the near threatened level in the red list of mammals in China. Among the terrestrial mammals,87 species are Oriental,35 species are Palaearctic,and eight species are widely distributed. The distribution type is dominated by the Oriental species, followed by the South China type. There are 91-105 species in zoogeographical regionalizations of Dabashan Mountain, Wulingshan Mountain, Qingjiang Cut Mountain, Wudangshan Mountain and Daloushan Medium Mountain Valley. There are 64and 69 species in the zoogeographical regionalizations of the Yangtze River Middle Plain and Three Gorges Valley, 40-50species in the zoogeographical regionalizations of Dabieshan Mountain, Nanxiang Basin, Jianghan Plain and Tongbaishan Mountain.
