陶瓷设计的传统与时代性——以元青花为例

Tradition and Times of Ceramic Design——Take Blue and White of the Yuan Dynasty As an Example

陶瓷设计中传统意味着前人留下的文化、审美、工艺、材料、技术、设计等集成,而时代性表示在当下文化、审美、材料、工艺技术、艺术语言、设计理念的结合。运用比较法,以元青花为例,论述陶瓷设计中传统与时代的关系,认为没有传统的时代性就像无源之水,只有传统而没有时代的设计如死水一潭。陶瓷设计的传统与时代性相互作用,缺一不可。

In ceramic design,tradition means the integration of culture,aesthetics,craft,materials,technology and design left by predecessors,while modernity means the combination of current culture,aesthetics,materials,technology,artistic language and design concepts.This paper discusses the relationship between tradition and the times in ceramic design by using the comparative method,taking Yuan blue and white as an example.It holds that the modernity without tradition is like the water without source,and traditional design without modernity is like a stagnant pool.The interaction between the tradition of ceramic design and the times is indispensable.
