摘要
“空表征问题”是关于概念或命题表达的对象是否真实存在于实现世界的问题。这个问题不仅普遍存在于我们日常生活的现实世界,也存在于科学探询的自然世界、可能世界或虚拟世界,在哲学上成为实在论和反实在论争论的焦点。在人工智能的语境下,空表征转化成了虚拟表征,人工智能如何应对空表征,实质上就是如何应对虚拟表征,具体说可通过生成性人工智能、虚拟数字化和图像构造来应对。这些应对方法事实上是人工智能对设想对象或虚拟对象的适应性表征,因为空表征的目的也是为了实现主体的意图或目标。
The “problem of empty representation” is about the question of whether the object expressed by a concept or proposition really exists in the realization world. This problem exists not only in the real world of our daily lives, but also in the natural world of scientific inquiry, possible world or virtual world, it has become the focus of debates between realism and anti-realism in philosophy. In the context of artificial intelligence, empty representation is transformed into virtual representation, how artificial intelligence deals with empty representation is essentially how to deal with virtual representation. Specifically, this can be addressed through generative AI, virtual digitization, and image construction. In fact, these coping methods are adaptive representation of artificial intelligence to imaginary objects or virtual objects, because the purpose of empty representation is also to achieve the subject’s intentions or goals.
