This paper mainly starts from the standardization and importance of highway bridge maintenance under the new situation, summarizes the current situation of highway bridge maintenance at this stage, analyzes the specifi c reasons for this situation, summarizes based on these reasons, and fi nally puts forward some measures that can improve the standardized maintenance scheme of highway bridges according to the reasons that affect the maintenance of highway bridges, which is expected to provide an important guarantee for the better operation of highway bridges.
