《甲骨文合集》10405正之“■”字考释

Research on the Character“■”of the Jia Gu Wen He Ji《甲骨文合集》

本文认为甲骨文字与、所从的形体相同,和旧释为“瓒”的■、■都应是“勺”的象形初文,在卜辞中指代宗庙建筑,可从何景成读为宗庙之“庙”。《甲骨文合集》10405正、10406正“五日丁丑,王宾中丁(勺-庙),[阝企]在■(庭)阜”中的“[阝企]”表示从阶梯往下走的动作,隐含了跌倒的结果。此句大意为到了第五天丁丑,王在中丁庙举行完宾祭后,走到庭阜准备下阶梯时,发生了跌倒的事件。

This paper suggests that the oracle bone inscription which is the radical of and,together with the characters,that used to be interpreted as zan(瓒),are the initial pictograph of shao(勺).These characters refer to the ancestral temple buildings in the oracle inscriptions,read as miao(庙)according to He Jingcheng.The character“”in the sentence of“五日丁丑,王宾中丁■(勺-庙),在(庭)阜”of the Jia Gu Wen He Ji(《甲骨文合集》)No.10405,10406,means to walk down the ladder and implies a situation of falling.The main idea of the above sentences is:on the fi fth day,after holding bin ji(宾祭)in zhongding(中丁)temple,the king fell when he got down the stairs.
