Taking a project in Mauritania, this paper explores that when displaying Chinese architectural technologies and construction techniques in Africa, in the face of a completely different regional environment, detailed design should not passively follow Chinese standards,but should take a proactive approach to the environment. To respond, fully consider the local geographical and climatic conditions where the project is located, commonly used materials, customary practices, and respect the actual needs and cultural psychology of users.
