Current market Situation and Trend of Fancy Sapphire

本文通过对彩色蓝宝石资源情况和2011~2021年3家国际拍卖行、2家国内拍卖行彩色蓝宝石的成交数据进行了分析,对彩色蓝宝石这类特殊经济矿产资源的发展趋势进行了研究,结果表明:虽然在越南、坦桑尼亚、美国蒙大拿州、中国山东等地有彩色蓝宝石产出,但是拍卖的优质彩色蓝宝石主要来自斯里兰卡和马达加斯加(95.4%)、缅甸(3.6%)等地。2011~2021年间彩色蓝宝石的成交量总体稳步增长,近十年间优质彩色蓝宝石的成交总金额增长了257%,克拉单价增长达508%。影响彩色蓝宝石价格的主要因素是颜色,其他影响因素还有产地、克拉重量等,其中产自斯里兰卡的粉色蓝宝石和帕帕拉恰蓝宝石是过去十年间彩色蓝宝石中价格涨幅与销量增加最大的品种,增幅达4~6倍。此外,在现有数据基础上,通过三参数S增长型的Gompertz模型,预测了未来几年彩色蓝宝石的市场成交总金额及成交单价等。

The analysis of three International auction and two domestic auction situations of fancy sapphires can explore the market price status and special economic mineral resources’ trends, as well as the resource conditions of various producing areas. Predicting the development prospect of the fancy sapphire market can provide a reference for the market price change similar to high economic value minerals. This article analyzes the resources of fancy sapphires and the transaction data of fancy sapphires by mainstream auction companies from 2011 to 2021. Although fancy sapphires are produced in Vietnam, Tanzania, Montana and Shandong, China, the high-quality fancy sapphire sold at auction is mainly obtained from Sri Lanka and Madagascar(95.4%), Myanmar(3.6%) and other places. From 2011~2021, the volume of fancy sapphire has grown steadily. In the past decade, the transaction volume of high-quality fancy sapphire increased by 257%, and the average price increased by 508%. From the auction company’ s transaction situation, the price of fancy sapphires is mainly affected by color, followed by the origin, carats, weight, etc. Pink sapphires and Paparacha from Sri Lanka are the varieties with the obviously price and sales increase in the past ten years of fancy sapphires, up to 4~6 times.
