摘要
本文从三个角度分析了刚刚结束的2022年美国国会选举。首先,本轮选举最值得关注的现象之一就是佛罗里达州州长德桑蒂斯的崛起。他以压倒性优势获得连任并迅速获得了共和党建制派的高度认可,这意味着他和前总统特朗普将在2024年党内初选中注定一战。其次,德桑蒂斯的崛起在很大程度上体现了保守主义的转向,即从以资本主义市场经济和虔诚基督教信仰为核心的传统保守主义,转向以文化民族主义和经济自由主义为核心的民粹保守主义,后者大大提升了共和党的选举竞争力。再次,选举后众议院的民主党人展现了空前的团结,但各种制度性和结构性因素将使拜登政府的立法议程受到极大限制。本文最后探讨了拜登、德桑蒂斯、特朗普在2024年总统选举中各自的优势和劣势。
This paper analyzes the 2022 congressional elections from three perspectives.First,the rise of Ron DeSantis,the Republican governor of Florida,is absolutely one of the most extraordinary events of this election cycle.He won reelection with a landslide and quickly gained the support of the Republican establishment.Thus,he and Donald Trump are “destined for war” in the upcoming 2024 Republican presidential primaries.Second,the rise of DeSantis also suggests that conservatism has undergone a crucial transformation,from one based on capitalist market economy and Christian faith,to one that combines cultural nationalism and economic liberalism,that is,populist conservatism,which greatly boosts Republicans’ election chances.Third,congressional Democrats demonstrated unprecedented unity in the wake of the election,but institutional and structural factors seriously undermine the Biden administration’s legislative agenda.The paper concludes by discussing the strengths and weaknesses of Joe Biden,DeSantis,and Donald Trump in a face-off in the 2024 presidential general election.
