《郑志》与《郑记》关系新诠

A New Interpretation on Relationship between Zheng Zhi(郑志)and Zheng Ji(郑记)

《郑志》《郑记》是记录郑玄及其门人弟子就经义相互问答的作品,原书均亡佚已久。前人多以为两书判然有别、各是一书,然而从史志目录著录《郑志》的篇卷变化及唐人征引《郑记》的情况来看,两书在流传过程中曾有内容上的分合。《郑志》八篇大约成书于汉末三国时期,在后人的修撰中增入郑玄弟子间的对话而成十一卷本《郑志》,开元初年之前再次整理时又剔除了《郑记》之文而缩略为九卷。《郑记》一书出现则应是在十一卷本《郑志》成书以后,由郑门后学汇集郑玄弟子间互相问答之语撰集而成,当不晚于隋初。

Zheng Zhi(郑志)and Zheng Ji(郑记)are books that recorded Zheng Xuan and his disciples’questions and answers on the Chinese classics.The original books have been lost for a long time.Most of the predecessors thought that they were two different books.However,from the changes in the volume of Zheng Zhi(郑志)in the catalogue of historical records and the citation of Zheng Ji(郑记)by people in the Tang Dynasty,the content of the books had once been divided and combined in the process of circulation.The eight articles of Zheng Zhi(郑志)were written in the late Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms.The dialogue between Zheng Xuan’s disciples was added to it in later compilation to form an eleven-volume version of Zheng Zhi(郑志).It was abbreviated into nine volumes before the early years of Kaiyuan by removing the article of Zheng Zhi(郑志).The book Zheng Ji(郑记)should have appeared after the completion of the eleven-volume Zheng Zhi(郑志),and it was compiled by Zheng Xuan’s disciples by collecting the questions and answers when it was no later than the early Sui Dynasty.
