A Study of CPC's Social Governance Practice in Ethnic Minority Areas--A Case Study of CPC's United Front Work with the Upper Strata Elites of Ethnic Minorities in Diqing

统一战线是中国共产党团结和凝聚最广泛智慧和力量的重要法宝。中华人民共和国成立初期,中国共产党成功运用统一战线将云南迪庆少数民族上层人士纳入社会治理共同体,为民族地区社会治理提供强大整合力量与智慧支持的历史经验。这一历史经验在党的二十大会议上提出的“巩固和发展最广泛的爱国统一战线,完善大统战工作格局,坚持大团结大联合”的新时代统战工作的背景下,对充分发挥少数民族代表人士在民族地区社会治理中的作用也有积极的意义。

United Front is a tool that the CPC has used to pool wisdom and gather strength.In the early years of New China,this tool was used successfully in Diqing of Yunnan province to involve elites of the upper strata of ethnic minorities in social governance and to provide intellectual support and experience for the Party's governance of areas peopled by ethnic minorities.Such experience is still of significance in encouraging representatives of ethnic minorities to play active roles in local social governance in the context when the 20th CPC National Congress has made"consolidating and developing the most extensive patriotic united front,improving united front work on a large scale,and persisting in great unity and collaboration"a keynote of united front work in the New Era.
