试论科技领域的语言竞争与语言规划

On Language Competition and Language Planning in the Domain of Science and Technology

科学技术是第一生产力,当今世界主要大国的科技竞争愈发激烈,科技领域的语言竞争问题日渐凸显。目前,国内对科技领域的语言问题探讨不足,相关研究有待深入,科技领域的语言规划研究亟待系统开展。本文回顾世界主要科技语言演化的历史,分析当今世界主要科技语言竞争问题,基于语言竞争理论,从三个维度审视科技领域的语言竞争及其导致的语言问题,最后基于语言规划的四个维度,提出中国科技领域语言规划建议。

Science and technology constitute a primary productive force.The scientific and technological competition of major powers in the world today is becoming increasingly intense,and the language competition in the domain of science and technology is becoming increasingly prominent.At present,there is a lack of discussion on language issues in the domain of science and technology in China,and related research needs to be addressed.Language planning research in the domain of science and technology needs to be carried out urgently and systematically.This paper first reviews the history of the evolution of the world’s major scientific and technological languages,and analyzes the competition of major scientific and technological languages in the world today.Then,based on the theory of language competition,it examines the language competition in the domain of science and technology and its resulting language problems from three dimensions.Finally,based on the four dimensions of language planning,it puts forward the language planning suggestions in the domain of science and technology in China.
