五四前后义和团运动的价值变迁——以《新青年》同人的思想分化为例

Changes in the Value of the Boxer Movement around the May 4th Movement:Taking the Divisions among Colleaguesat New Youth as an Example

义和团运动作为中国现代文学史、思想史上一个具有多歧性与象征意味的文化符号,一直以来都备受关注。五四前后,义和团叙事经历了显著的变化。在不同的历史评价背后隐含的是不同的文学史叙述模式。而作为义和团事件舆论引导的主要人物,《新青年》同人的文化心理是值得探究的。从新文化运动时期的一致痛斥到后五四时期的意见分野,《新青年》同人面临着自我东方化的挑战、舆论话语权的争夺、精英文化与大众文化的冲突以及多种文化取向抉择等一系列问题。他们不同时期的价值判断与历史抉择不仅仅反映出个人思想变迁、五四精英文化心理,也能在一定程度上折射五四前后的历史光景与社会变迁。

As a cultural symbol with diversity and symbolic meaning in modern Chinese history of literature and thoughts, the Boxer Movement has always been a focus. The narrative of the Boxer Movement has undergone significant changes around the May 4th Movement. Different historical evaluation implies different narrative models of literary history. As the public opinion guide of the boxer movement, the cultural psychology of the colleagues at New Youth is worth exploring. From the unanimous denunciation during the new culture movement to the division of opinions in the late May 4th movement, colleagues at New Youth are facing a series of problems. such as the challenge of self-orientalization, the competition for the discourse power of public opinion, the conflict between elite culture and mass culture, and the selection of different cultural orientations. Their value judgments and historical Choices in different periods not only reflect the changes of personal thoughts and the cultural psychology of the May 4th elite, but also reflect the historical circumstances and social changes around the May 4th movement to a certain extent.
