模糊度对面孔吸引力评价的影响及性别差异

摘要 目的:本研究旨在探讨模糊度对面孔吸引力的影响。方法:32名男性和32名女性大学生,对面孔的主观模糊度和吸引力进行评定。实验采用2(评价者:男、女)×2(面孔性别:男、女)×2(面孔吸引力:低、高)×3(面孔模糊度:低、中、高)的混合设计,因变量为主观模糊度和主观吸引力评价分数。结果:(1)随着面孔的客观和主观模糊度的增加,面孔的主观吸引力评分随之降低,即面孔的吸引力评分与客观及主观模糊度评分均显著负相关;(2)对女性高吸引力面孔的模糊度评分显著高于对低吸引力面孔,对男性面孔无差异。结论:模糊度会降低面孔的吸引力评价,符合加工流畅性假设;个体对女性高吸引力面孔表现出“朦胧美”的认知偏见。 Objective: The present study aimed to explore the influence of fuzziness on facial attractiveness. Methods:32 male and 32 female college students rated faces for subjective fuzziness and attractiveness. A mixed design of 2(evaluator’s gender: male, female)×2(face gender: male, female)×2(face attractiveness: low, high)×3(face fuzziness: low, medium,high) was used. The dependent variables were subjective fuzziness and subjective attractiveness evaluation scores. Results:(1) With the increase of objective and subjective fuzziness, the subjective attractiveness score of faces decreased. Face attractiveness scores were significant negative correlated with objective and subjective fuzziness scores.(2) The fuzziness scores for female high-attractiveness faces were significantly higher than those for low-attractiveness faces, but there was no difference for male faces. Conclusion: Subjects showed a cognitive bias towards‘Hazy beauty’for female faces with high-attractiveness, and the fuzziness reduced the attractiveness evaluation of faces, which was consistent with the hypothesis of processing fluency.
