电影《白虎》以主人公的亲身经历展现了印度社会各个阶层所经历的政治、经济变革。印度经济复苏是经济全球化的结果,但作为一把双刃剑,也加剧了国内的阶级对立。由于变革并未从根本上消除种姓制度,而贫富悬殊又使社会阶层分化趋势加速,为了抢占资源并实现身份转型,人们必须进行残忍的争斗,暴力频发也就成为必然。如何消除经济高速发展与道德重构之间的对峙,引领底层群体完成身份转型,电影《白虎》为我们提供了思考方向。

The movie White Tiger depicts the political and economic changes that all levels of Indian society are undergoing through the personal experiences of the main character. To some extent, India’s economic recovery is the result of economic globalization, but as a double-edged sword, it has also intensified class divisions within the country. Since the reform did not fundamentally eliminate the caste system, and the gap between the rich and the poor accelerated the differentiation of social classes, in order to compete for resources and achieve rapid identity transformation, the people had to go through brutal struggles and frequent violence became inevitable. The film White Tiger provides a direction for us to think about how to resolve the confrontation between rapid economic development and moral reconstruction, and how to lead the bottom group to complete the identity transformation.
