Imagining From the Inside and Outside of the City-On the Problems of the City in Gaston Bachelard’s Aesthetic Thought

在加斯东·巴什拉的美学思想中,“城市”概念并不是一个十分突出的空间“问题域”,然而他却通过一种诗学辩证的美学方案走向了一种批判现代化城市的想象哲学。本文将围绕在城市内外的辩证想象展开讨论,试图以“物质想象”理论中的城市形象为出发点;再经由科学史中的城市想象切入巴什拉关于“技术”与“流行病”的讨论,并将其引入“人类世”的当代语境;最后,本文将会重返“空间诗学”的经典命题,从而延伸到一种面向“加速社会”城市境遇下的“新空间诗学”。

In Gaston Bachelard’s aesthetic thought,the concept of“City”does not appear to be a very prominent spatial“problematic”.However,he has moved towards the philosophy of imagination that criticized the modern city through an aesthetic solution of poetic dialectics.This paper will discuss the dialectical imagination from both inside and outside of the city,trying to start with the image of city in the theory of“material imagination”,and going into the discussion on“technology”and“epidemics”by the city imagination in the history of science,then lead this discussion into the contemporary con⁃text of“anthropocene”.Finally,this paper will refocus on the classical prop⁃osition of“the poetics of space”,hence it will extend to the“new poetics of space”under the urban circumstance of“accelerated society”.
