国共视野中的马歇尔使华——基于《新华日报》《中央日报》为中心的考察

马歇尔使华消息传来,社会各界关注度颇高。实力更强的国民党言必称配合马歇尔,借以继续获取美国援助,却不愿意支持马歇尔推进谈判、促进国共和解。军事实力处于弱势的中国共产党此时积极争取进一步发展的空间和时间,赞同马歇尔调处国共关系的主张。相比之下,这一阶段反而是中国共产党与马歇尔推进和谈的立场更为契合。与社会各界普遍希望马歇尔使华促进民主和平建国不同,国共更希望利用马歇尔解决各自面临的一些实际的利益问题。在此基础上,两党既要考虑民众的民主诉求,也要谋取最大限度地达成自身主张,对马歇尔的态度也进行了不少的包装。

In contrast, this stage was more consistent with the position of the CPC and Marshall to promote peace talks. Different from all walks of life generally optimistic about Marshall′s promotion of democracy and peace, Kuomintang and Communist Party hoped to use Marshall to solve some practical military problems they faced. On this basis, the two parties should not only consider the democratic aspirations of the people, but also seek to achieve their own ideas to the maximum extent.
