两汉魏晋南北朝时期,频繁的战争给人民的生活带来深重的灾难。人们无不厌恶战争,向往和平。这一时期的乐府诗中有许多与战争有关的诗,描写了战争及战争结束后的悲惨景象,记叙了战争给普通家庭带来的深重灾难,表达了强烈的反战思想。现存汉乐府中的《战城南》《十五从军征》、东汉末年曹操的《蒿里行》、王粲的《七哀诗》以及北朝民歌中的《企喻歌》等就是典型的代表。

During the Han, Wei, Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties, frequent wars brought heavy disasters to people’s lives. People hate war and yearn for peace. In Yuefu poems of this period, there were many poems related to the war, which described the tragic scenes after the war, the deep disasters to ordinary families brought by the war, and expressed strong anti-war thoughts. The existing Yuefu of Han Dynasty’s "Zhan Cheng Nan" and "Shi Wu Cong Jun Zheng", Cao Cao’s "Hao Li Xing", Wang Can’s "Qi Ai Shi" and the Northern Dynasty folk song "Qi Yu Ge" are typical representatives.
