略论书法的“正大气象”

A Brief Discussion on the “Decent Atmosphere” of Calligraphy

“正大气象”是指书法艺术所具有的清雅刚健、雄强深厚的精神气度与宽广的审美视域、高远的艺术境界。近年来,“书德”受到功利主义、实用主义、物质主义的侵害或污染,加剧了书坛急功近利、追名逐利风气的蔓延。当代书坛出现了种种“怪现状”,书坛部分人“人文性营养不良”,呼吁书法“正大气象”回归。“正大气象”养成与回归需要从基础教育与高等教育抓起,要在学理层面对“正大气象”的审美内涵、特征、养成等方面进行培养;在创作层面,呼吁书法家们形成追求“正大气象”的自觉意识。书法家都要有自觉意识与责任担当,有意识清扫审丑之风,革除媚俗之习,这就有可能真正往去丑扬美、去怪扬正、去俗扬雅的正路上走,从而养成风清气正、高古雅正的书法审美追求,“正大气象”的美好局面就能真正实现。

“Decent atmosphere”refers to the elegant and vigorous,powerful and profound spiritu⁃al tolerance,broad aesthetic vision and lofty artistic realm of calligraphy art.In recent years,“callig⁃raphers’moral norms”have been infringed or polluted by utilitarianism,pragmatism,and materialism,which has intensified the spread of the calligraphy world’s culture of quick success and pursuit of fame and profit.Various negative phenomena have appeared in the contemporary calligraphy world,re⁃sulting from the fact that some people in the calligraphy world“lack humanistic quality”,and that some call for the return of calligraphy to a“decent atmosphere”.The cultivation and return of the“decent atmosphere”of calligraphy should begin with elementary education and higher education,and develop the aesthetic connotation,characteristics and cultivation of“decent atmosphere”at the theoreti⁃cal level.Meanwhile,at the creative level,calligraphers are called upon to develop a conscious awareness of pursuing the“decent atmosphere”.Calligraphers should have self-consciousness and bear responsibility,consciously stop the trend of aesthetic relegation,and expel the vulgar habits,which will make it possible for them to truly go down the right path of exterminating ugliness,inde⁃cency,and vulgarness,while promoting beauty,decency and elegance,thus cultivating the aesthetic pursuit of cleanliness and elegance in calligraphy,and the rosy prospect of“decent atmosphere”will be truly realized.
