In most grassroots areas,farmers are faced with the rising cost of feed,the reduction of livestock varieties,the extension of breeding cycle and other problems,which eventually lead to the decline of livestock reproduction ability,greatly affecting the livestock breeding income.In order to ensure the safety of the development of animal husbandry in this region,the relevant departments and farmers should pay more attention to the improvement of animal husbandry and promote the rapid development of modern animal husbandry.The position and function of livestock improvement in the construction of modern animal husbandry are discussed in order to provide some suggestions for the development of modern animal husbandry.
