The Construction and Development of Smart Library Empowered by Metaverse

[目的/意义]探讨元宇宙对图书馆未来发展的影响及其对图书馆建设的赋能,探索智慧图书馆未来发展蓝图。[研究设计/方法]通过对元宇宙与智慧图书馆发展历史与概念特征的梳理,揭示元宇宙与图书馆是具有共同追求与发展的“双向奔赴”关系,概括元宇宙赋能智慧图书馆建设的五个重要驱动因素,包括战略驱动、社会影响、技术进步、图书馆使命坚持以及用户需求变化。[结论/发现]元宇宙赋能智慧图书馆的典型应用场景包括智慧空间、智慧资源管理、智慧阅读、智慧咨询服务以及智慧图书馆员角色支撑;元宇宙对智慧图书馆建设的影响包括优势与风险。[创新/价值]提出元宇宙赋能智慧图书馆的发展路径,包括建立虚实融合观念、发挥资源优势、加大基础设施建设、增强虚拟技术研发、创新应用服务场景和参与制定法规和标准。

[Purpose/Significance]This study aims to explore metaverse's influence on library development,metaverse's empowerment on library construction and look into the future blueprint of smart library.[Design/Methodology]Through sorting out the development history,clarifiing the concepts and features of metaverse and smart library,this study reveals that the metaverse and library have a"two way rush"relationship with common pursuit and development and then summarizes five important driving factors for the construction of smart library empowered by metaverse,including strategic driving,social influence,technological progress,library mission persistence and changes in user needs.[Findings/Conclusion]It is found that the typical application scenarios of metaverse empowered intelligent library include intelligent space,intelligent resource management,intelligent reading,intelligent consulting service and intelligent librarian role support.The influence of metaverse on the construction of intelligent library includes advantages and risks.[Originality/Value]The development paths of metaverse empowering smart library have been proposed,including establishing the concept of virtual-real integration,giving full play to resource advantages,increasing infrastructure construction,enhancing virtual technology research and development,innovating application service scenarios and participating in the formulation of regulations and standards.
